This Beaded Altar Frontal is of Caribou Skin made by Inuit Anglicans in the Yukon and given by them
to Archbishop Stringer. It is used now on the National Day of Indigenous Prayer in June and on the Sunday closest to the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. It is also used on the Chapel altar at Christmas time. It is a very beautiful and artistic piece of work.
Together, we remember the children who were taken from their families, honour residential school Survivors, and reflect on the ongoing journey toward truth, healing, and reconciliation.
