About Us

Welcome you Home

We don’t just welcome visitors—we welcome family.

Our Story

Welcome to St. John’s Anglican Cathedral, a vibrant spiritual and community landmark nestled at 135 Anderson Avenue, in the heart of Winnipeg’s North End.

Built on Treaty 1 Territory—the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Dakota, Dene, and the Red River Métis—this historic cathedral stands as the birthplace of the Anglican Church in Western Canada.

Whether you’re here to worship, learn, or volunteer, you’ll find a welcoming, open‑hearted community committed to service and spiritual growth.

Our Services

We offer weekly worship in the Anglican tradition, including services for teens and children, creating a space for all ages to grow in faith together.

Regular Service: Join us Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

Join us for meaningful worship rooted in the Anglican tradition, with Scripture, prayer, hymns, and reflection that deepen faith and connect us to God and one another.

We are a Christ-centered community where every person regardless of background, age, culture, or life journey is valued and embraced.

You are not just attending a service you are coming home to a cathedral built on centuries of faith, service, and love.

Our Mission

We celebrate the love of God through Jesus Christ, grow in understanding of His will, and share our time, talents, and treasure for God’s glory. We are committed to healing, reconciliation, and faithful service to both our local and global communities.
